My journey started about 3 years ago

My journey started about 3 years ago.  The calls from the creditors and not answering the telephone any more.  Depression, helplessness not even able to talk to anyone.  Embarrassed that how could this happen when I was earning a descent wage. We all have our reasons, and everything was important.

Using credit cards to get by isso easy to do and it was the only way out at the time.  Its seems that when your down, everything happens, my mother got sick and passed away the same year my brother also got sick and passed away, I had to sell my house at a loss.  I had to borrow money from a friend to rent a place for myself and children.

Unable to get any loan from any financial institution as by now my credit rating was bad for late and no payments

Then a co-worker at work was asking how things were as I was not myself lately and yes I broke down and told him some of my problems he suggested I call the Credit Counselling and see if they could help.

I thought I am not in debt that much, but I was unable to manage anymore, so I made to call.  I had my interview and no one judged me and after the appointment a smile return to my face which had not happen in a long time.  My experience has been positive over the last three.  At the yearly appointments assessment and any time I needed additional help.

I will be debt free as I like to call it by March of 2010.
