We went thru my debts, my expenses etc and set up a "rough draft" of a payment plan. She told me to think about it, but I was so comfortable with her and with the solution, I had her make up the plan right then. I handed over all my credit cards to Josie, signed on the bottom line and walked out feeling like I weighed just a few ounces. I felt great!

I have talked to my counselors a few times since then, and never have I been judged, talked "down" to, or felt intimidated or stupid. I feel comfortable calling the centre and asking for further help or advise. I have never been treated with anything other than the outmost respect from everyone I have talked to.

I found Credit Canada through my brother. He took me there for my first interview. I didn't thank him then, I was too ashamed, but I do thank him now. They really helped me. They made me feel okay. Now I make myself feel better every time I budget my money. I am a better person. The rewards I take now move my life forward. It took me a little more than two years to get debt free, and now, two years after that, I've saved enough to go back to school. I'm truly happy.

I have never been so embarrassed in my life as the day I walked into Credit Canada as everyone there knew I was there for one reason: I was drowning in debt. I met my counselor, Josie, and she never judged me, never slapped my wrist and said "bad girl" etc. She made me feel so comfortable and at ease.

Unlike many other agencies dealing with money and credit matters, this agency is not digging me a hole, it is taking me out of the hole.
